1.2 TSI (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 3 Years
Fuel Economy: 14.0 km/litre (7.1 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 2,100 km/month
    - Powerful acceleration between 0-140 km/h, thanks to 175 Nm from 1500 rpm. Easy take over.
    - DSG7 provides of smooth gear shift and acceleration
    - Very good braking performance
    - Low fuel consumption, 14km per litre for city drive. RON95.
    - 15000 km or 1 year service interval, save frequency for service.
    - Useful armrest, rare in it's class.
    - 2 years manufacturer warranty + 3 years insurance warranty
    - Classy interior (soft dashboard, black colour toned interior, leather steering and gear knob)
    - Rear seats are quite straight and leg room is small.
    - Potential DSG7 problem (though not faced any yet)
    - Spare parts cost is high, as usual for CBU car
    - Audio player RCD310 does not comes with bluetooth connectivity
    - No powered side mirror.
    - Original tyre for TSI Sport is special tyre which is difficult to find. Suggest to change to common size.
To Improve
- Insurance warranty claim require owner to provide not only service booklet but service invoices to prove genuine and on time service. In case of missing invoices either dealer need to request with another dealer for invoices or owner need to do the works to gather invoices. This is not informed earlier when purchase the car or service the car. In case of missing invoices, VGM should act as focal point to gather any required information to claim insurance for customer because VGM, owner should not be doing the paper works unless stated in warranty disclaimer.
- Service time need to be improved. Changing a battery takes half a day (?)
- VGM really need to considering 10 years DSG warranty same like China to gain customer confidence.
- Scheduled maintenance service does not comes with free car wash (disappointed). Many other less premium brands are providing free car wash now.
Yes, I would recommend this car

1.2 TSI (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 3 Years
Fuel Economy: 13.0 km/litre (7.7 L/100 km), RON95
Overall I'm happy with my polo 1.2TSi sport. Drive it since end of 2011, mileage close to 100,000km now. Powerful engine and yet fuel efficiency.
I think it's value for my money if you compare with H. Jazz (price in those day before CKD) and T. Yaris in all aspect.
Problematic car? Just make sure your car still under warranty. So far claimed 2 time warranty (converter cable and 'megatronic') and I manage to collect my car within same day. So far visited service centre in Jalan Ipoh, Sg. Besi, JB and Ipoh. Only Sg. Besi service centre is below my expectation.
To Improve
Overall car's design was too 'matured' look as those car in this segment is targeting young adults. I'm struggling to decide within Polo and fiesta. However, I choose polo because of its engine and practical space. Something to improve like road handling in sharp corner, Bluetooth connectivity for hand-free and multimedia (even my previous car P. Alza is using this technology). Why keep it good when you can be the best?

1.2 TSI (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 4 Years
Fuel Economy: 10.0 km/litre (10.0 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 3,000 km/month
    - Nifty little engine
    - very smooth and responsive Dual clutch and 7 speed gearbox
    - Very nice handling esp taking corners
    - High quality and solid fit and finish (1.2 TSI)
    - Long service interval of 20,000km per service
    - Turbo lag very noticeable trying to get off from standstill
    - A little bit more leg room on the backseat can be nice
    - Limited gadget for its price
    - Known potential problem with DSG 7 speed gearbox
    - Nightmares with service centers!
To Improve
- More rear legroom
- More gadgets please
- Open up more service centers that can do more than just normal/express service esp that can handle warranty claims.

1.2 TSI (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 2 Years
Fuel Economy: 15.8 km/litre (6.3 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 1,800 km/month
Plenty of usable torque at low RPMs.
    Gear shifts are lightning quick.
    Sharp and accurate steering.
Excellent NVH and refinement even at high speeds.
    Good visibility all round.
Easy to park and manoeuvre in tight spaces.
    Good fuel economy.
    Plenty of safety features.
Best in class build quality. Everything feels solid and substantial.
Interior is classy, functional, well laid out and pleasant to the touch.
Exterior design is sharp and the appeal will last for many years.
Above average boot space. The false floor is very useful. Able to load long flat packed furniture with the rear seats folded down.
Rear passenger head and leg room is surprisingly good.
Jarring ride over broken surfaces and potholes. No thanks to the beautiful 17" Boavista wheels.
DSG acts up after prolonged stop and start traffic conditions. Car judders during gear shifts between 1st and 2nd gear. Remedied by shifting to Sports mode during traffic jams.
Plenty of body roll when cornering.
Undulations unsettle the car. Soft suspension is the culprit here.
Air conditioner does not cool the cabin fast enough.
Omission of bluetooth module is disappointing.
    Fabric seats only.
Potentially low resale value once the 5 years warranty ends.
To Improve
Address all known issues, especially the notorious DSG, to improve consumer confidence.
Pricing should be more competitive.

1.2 TSI (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 2 Years
Fuel Economy: 11.8 km/litre (8.5 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 1,800 km/month
    Great Cabin Perceived Quality
Powerful TSI engine + Smooth DSG combination
Comfortable Ride - Rides like C-Seg car
Trim rattles (Prominent rattle on dash, rear and roof) - unsolved to date
Poor VW Malaysia response (I have emails evidence)
To Improve
Improve VW Malaysia customer service and not telling me trim rattle is "normal" issue. My car (Feb 2014) starts rattle 3 months into ownership and unsettled until date (1 year troubleshoot + 6 times in VW Service Centre). They push all complaints to dealer and said VW Malaysia is not responsible for defects, which i found is an appalling excuse.

FYI, i will have to send my car in a week time (27 May 2014) again to get this sorted...
