2.5 SkyActiv-G with G-Vectoring Control Plus (2021)
Bought new, Owned for 2 Years
Fuel Economy: 10.0 km/litre (10.0 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 2,000 km/month
Beauty: It's still beautiful despite the age.
Premium: Feels much more expensive with great material quality, even at this price range, compared to the European or other Japanese counterparts.
Driving Dynamic: Signature Mazda! Drives Amazing. Nuffsaid. Love the GVC+ magic. My family stopped having motion sickness in my car. The same can't be said when I had Civic FC before this. 2.5 Engine does the job with adequate power.
Comfort: Seats are so comfortable.
Maintenance: FREE 5-year warranty and FREE Service. Technically, zero maintenance cost, except wear and tear.
Wind down your sunroof, blast a playlist with chill music through the BOSE sound system and drive up to Genting. No one will ever understand until you feel it.
Overall: It is a BMW 5 Series with Japanese reliability.
Infotainment: Outdated. Surely, Mazda could do a bit more on their update on the screen department. Infotainment and Speedo cluster are screaming for a desperate change.
Leg Room: Very comfortable for 4 pax, but definitely not 5. Leg room space is tight in the rear.
Seats: Seats sit too high to my liking. I'm a 6-foot person and would love to sit lower.
Branding: At this price, anyone would be asking the same question. Why Mazda and NOT other Conti?
Engine Performance: 2.5CC does the job for adequate power, but 2.5T would have been great. But Bermaz probably never brought it in.
To Improve
Definitely the infotainment and update the screens.
Probably add a little charming with some ambient lighting etc.
Sad no 2.5T coming into Malaysia. Engine performance could be better.
Yes, I would recommend this car
