Starting with the interior, the semi bucket leather seats are very comfortable especially during long travels with under thigh extension for support. It also offers massage for the front driver seats making long drives less tired and also good for the back. For the infotainment system is great with with wired android auto and apple car play. No need for wires stranggling up the cockpit area. For the instrument cluster is also good and serves the purpose with digital clusters and also nice graphics when you get in and out of the car. There's also ambient lighting and with multiple colours to choose on gets the cabin vibrant especially during night time. Steering adjustments is okay so does the seat adjustments which are electronic operated. For the rear passengers, there's air conditioner and also ample of space for the rear occupants. If the front driver or passnger is a short person the rear will feel like you're in an S class because its so spacious. For the rear set bench is also comfortable especially for under thigh supports because it sits low and slung back. For the boot is quite large and easy to get things in and out due to its square shape and also coupe body. The exterior body style of the arteon is most vastly unique and gorgeous to start with mostly because of the body lines and also the coupe style rear and the front is quite jarring to look at, for sure making heads turn. The front headlamp serves the purpose euth broght VW IQ lights and also when you get in the car and startup the lights will show animations and its quite cool. As for the engine and gearbox it packs a punch especially in highway drives. When you're driving along suddenly you've reached almost 200km/h because of the smoothness of the gearbox and also the noise dampening of the vehicle itself. During city drives if you're in comfort mode, the fuel saving is quite impressive for a big sedan. Especially in traffic jams it does save little bit of fuel and money. As for the ride and handling i would give a solid 8.5/10. The suspension is quite stiff even with adaptive suspension at first but after using it quite sometimes you'll hardly notice any harshness. It stays planted during cornering and also during highway driving making it fun to drive on twisty roads and relaxing on highway crusing.
The touch sensitive buttons on the steering wheel sometimes can be hard to press and when you accidentally swipe or touch them, it'll change the radio station or volume. Wireless charging was to be expected for this vehicles segment price range but lacks of it. Quality can be improved for the interior but overall is okay. Lack of ADAS system such as anti collision, emergency braking and other bits here and there. The responsiveness of the engine in comfort mode is quite slow at first, a proton saga can cut you through faster.
To improve
Changing the touch sensitive dials to normal buttons ones. Easier to operate and easier to navigate. Adding in wireless charging, presence of ADAS system for safety should be mandatory by today's standard.
Yes, I would recommend this car
